This site is dedicated to the memory of John Bell.

John Bell sadly passed away on 10 February 2007 at his home near Sheffield, at the age of 32. He had lived with Motor Neurone Disease for almost six years. By sharing his journey with others, John did so much to raise awareness of MND and support for the MND Association. He was a loving husband to Charlotte, and a devoted father of two wonderful young boys -- Samuel and Gabriel. Our thoughts are with them now. MND Association

Thoughts

I was very moved by the documentary, it made me shed many tears but yet warmed my heart by the love, care, and support from family and loved ones. Charlotte you have a heart of gold and I have so much respect for you. I wish I could give you a big hug. I will never forget about this and may John sweet kind self rest in peace and that his story will forever be shown to the world and help support other's with this terrible condition. Your guys love is inseparable even now. <3

I lost my mum to Motor Neurone Disease on January 8th 2007. I was 20 years old - nothing i knew or felt could prepare me for what i would feel. Motor Neurone Disease is by far the worst disease i have ever witnessed in my life. When my mum died she asked to keep trying to find a cure for this awful disease - with this in mind myself and my family run charity quiz nights and bootsales to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease. My mum like John was very brave too - i saw a very independent woman lose the will and determination for life. All MND sufferers are in heaven now at peace - that's where i take my comfort from. Charlotte and boys - I watched the documentary 'trapped inside my own body' it moved me and clearly showed what strength, love and compassion you had as a family - remember the good memories you shared always Take lots of care Claire Storey
